Metro - Friday, July 16th
Thanks to everyone who came out to Summerfest!!! We sold a ton of merch and made lots of new friends, so it was amazing to be able to play two years in a row.
We have a big, BIG, headlining show at Metro on July 16th.
WE NEED EVERYONE TO COME OUT FOR THIS ONE!!!!!!
Besides our cd release later this year (and if, we're lucky, label showcases), this is the most important show we will play all year, as we have to draw folks when given the headlining slot. The show is free if you get there before 9pm...just PRINT OUT THE FLYER BELOW and bring it to Metro with you. There are no limits to the freebie pass, so print away!
If you plan to arrive after 9PM, please go to the link below and input the password "holding" to buy your $6 tickets in advance so we get credit, and you save 3 bucks in the process! I know it says $8 when the link comes up, but the "holding" password gets you the $2 discount. You can wait to buy them at the door for $9, but it will help us out, greatly, if you buy the tix online, in advance, as Metro will have more of a record of how many folks we brought out. Anyway, here's the link:

Lincoln Hall - Friday, March 26th - New Venue, New Lineup, New Tunes!!
Hello, all. Holding Mercury is emerging after a long winter's hiatus that has fortunately or unfortunately required a bit of a reorganization with the band.
We would like to first thank Andrew Titchenal and Jason Batchko for their years of friendship and blood, sweat and tears shed for the band. We had some unbelievable moments on stage, not to mention countless inside jokes and interesting experiences off the stage as well. We have decided to part ways, and we wish them luck in their new endeavors. As a result, we have a new rhythm section to introduce to you.
Michael Durband will now be holding down the low end for Holding Mercury. Mike has been in the Chicago scene for a while, playing in bands with Ashok in the past, and we have gotten to know him for the past couple years at HM shows. He's learned all of Andy's parts quickly, and has jumped right in and done a great job on some of the new material we are recording as well. Also, he's quite skilled with the video filming and editing...check out what he did during our stint at Electrical Audio earlier this month:

Garret Hammond, the producer and drummer for "Downfall of an Empire" will once again be behind the kit for us, as well as producing another EP/LP to be released later this year. Garret is an absolutely amazing drummer, and regularly does sessions for Johnny K (producer of Disturbed, Plain White T's) and Hollywood records. We're thrilled to have Garret and Mike with us, and look forward to starting a new chapter of HM with them.
So, to celebrate spring and our reemergence, we are playing at a new venue, Lincoln Hall, two weeks from today. This venue has been getting rave reviews by concert goers...supposedly the sound is amazing and it's a great place to hang and check out new bands. The Assembly (w/ ex members of Caviar) and The Victory (w/ ex members of Matthew) will be on the bill as well.

As we mentioned we are excited to get out and start playing again, and this next record is shaping up to have some very, very strong material on it. We're hoping to preview a couple tunes you've never heard before on the 26th.
Hope to see everyone there! As always, we greatly appreciate your support!
